Our director, John McKenna has significant experience in electrical engineering, having commenced work in the electricity supply industry in 1982.
John has considerable knowledge of electrical construction and engineering, retaining the position of Energex Distribution Planning and Design Coordinator on the Sunshine Coast from 1998 to 2013. This position was responsible for the technical aspects and contractual arrangements of all commercial, industrial, domestic and rural connections, including road work projects and network maintenance. John acted in management and business improvement roles, developing substantial understanding and expertise in statutory compliance, corporate business structure and prudent business practices.
In January 2014, we developed our Business Management System aligned with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 which deliver capability, quality and performance. The purpose of the Business Management System is to ensure Auspower Connect provide value products and services that meet customer expectations and provide a safe and healthy work environment for our personnel, customers and the public.
We developed a Safe System of Work that ensures all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legal responsibilities in accordance with Queensland Work Place Health and Safety Legislation and Queensland Electrical Safety Legislation. The purpose of the Work Health and Safety Management Plan is to ensure Auspower Connect comply or exceed all statutory health and safety requirements and Distribution Authority standards.
