SGQ was engaged by TMR to removing an existing bridge, installing a major side-track with temporary bridge and constructing a new bridge and approaches. The bridge is located along Stapylton-Jacobs Well Road over Behm’s Creek, between Brisbane and Gold Coast.
The builder lifted concrete bridge beams into position and utilised a concrete pump adjacent to the 11kV and LV overhead powerlines. The work was considered high risk and Energex deemed it appropriate to de-energise the overhead powerlines.
Our authorised switching recipient was issued with an ‘Access Permit’ and performed a site-specific risk assessment with the personnel conducting the work to ensure the protection of workers, public, plant and equipment.
Our authorised switching recipient monitored the works for compliance.
