The builder was required to lift continuous lengths of roofing material from the Semi-Trailer over the 11kV and LV overhead powerlines. The development was located on Stewart Terrace, Manly, and exposed to the sea breeze. The work was considered very high risk and Energex deemed it appropriate to de-energise the overhead powerlines.

Our Authorised Switching Recipient was issued with an ‘Access Permit’ and performed a site-specific risk assessment with the personnel conducting the work to ensure the protection of workers, public, plant and equipment. 

Our Authorised Switching Recipient monitored the works for compliance.
