- PUBLIC LIGHTING FOR ROAD WIDENING AND TURN LANE
Silverback Properties Pty Ltd engaged our electrical engineers to design street lighting to accommodate the intersection upgrade and additional turning lane from Steve Irwin Way into Irwin Road. Our electrical engineers reviewed the proposal and identified Category V3 of AS/NZS 1158.1.1 2005 on Steve Irwin Way and Category V5 of AS/NZS 1158.1.1 2005 on Irwin Road, Beerwah. Our lighting design included a luminance component and illuminance design for the right turn lane and associated road features. Perfect Lite software was utilised for illuminance simulations and luminance spacing tables.
Our electrical designs allowed for recovery of two (2) major road streetlights, installation of eight (8) 155W LED major road streetlights and new switchboard to TMR specifications.
Key Constraints:
Identifying suitable streetlight locations that maintained dynamic clearances from powerlines.
Identifying suitable streetlight locations and switchboard location clear of steep embankment.
Liaison with Energex to recover Energex network pole.
