• 32 RESIDENTIAL ALLOTMENTS
  • UNDERGROUND ELECTRICITY RETICULATION
  • MINOR AND MAJOR ROAD PUBLIC LIGHTING
  • FIBRE READY NBN PIT AND PIPE
  • Rate 2 Public Lighting
  • Install five (5) Major Road Street Lights
  • Install ten (10) Minor Road Street Lights

Lexen Group engaged our Electrical Engineers to provide electrical reticulation, street lighting and NBN Pit and Pipe Network to a 32 Lot residential subdivision at Unity at Park Ridge estate, Park Ridge.

The lighting category was assessed as category V5 as per AS/NZS 1158.1.1:2005 for Park Ridge Road and the proposed intersection at the estate.  The internal Silkwood Circuit and Junction Road were determined to be Category P4 of the AS/NZS 1158.3.1 2005.

Illuminance simulations were required for the Category V5 road. A minimum illuminance of 3.5 Lux was achieved on the roadway surface extending 5m from the point of the road edge change where the lines converge and diverge.  A luminance design was required for the proposed internal roads, Category P4, in order to determine the spacing and quantity of streetlights required. Our Electrical Engineers utilised Perfect Lite software for the illuminance simulations and luminance spacing tables. All proposed streetlight columns were supplied by underground reticulation and connected under a rate 2 tariff.

NBN Fibre Ready Pit and Pipe was provided to all proposed allotments, including the extra lead-in conduits to 18 of the 32 lots to facilitate the possible construction of dual occupancy properties.

Key Constraints:

To minimise unnecessary infrastructure cost and utilise spare transformer capacity in Frederick Place, our Electrical Engineers allowed for installation of 244m of parallel 240mm AL LV cables from the existing padmount transformer to the first Energex pillar, ensuring voltage levels remained within statutory limitations.

The existing low voltage overhead mains had to be recovered and installed underground along Park Ridge Road.
