AUTHORISED PERSON Energex Electricity Distribution Network
Monitor and instruct personnel within the exclusion zone of the Distribution Network – Electricity Safety Regulation 2013.
What we do
Our Authorised Person is accredited to provide Authorised Person services as defined in the Queensland Electrical Safety Regulations 2013. Under the provisions of the Electrical Safety Legislation, an Authorised Person can carry out work at a reduced zone to the Distribution Network, as described under Schedule 2 of the Electricity Safety Regulations.

Typical work categories where authorised person is required is as follows:
- Erect scaffold adjacent to energised Energex electricity network,
- Excavate adjacent to energised Energex electricity network,
- Roof replacement adjacent to energised Energex electricity network,
- Asbestos removal adjacent to energised Energex electricity network,
- De-energise and re-energise customer services,
- Inspect Energex Pillars and Energex Padmount Transformers,
- De-energise customer mains in Energex Padmount Transformers,
- Disconnect and reconnect customer mains in Energex Padmount Transformer.
Our Authorised Person performs a site-specific risk assessment with the personnel conducting the work to ensure the protection of workers, public, plant and equipment.
Our Authorised Person will monitor the works for compliance.
