The builder, Sommer & Staff, was required to drill concrete reinforced piers, 14m deep, along the frontage of the building site at West End.

The work was considered high risk due to proximity of 11kV overhead powerlines and Energex repositioned the 11kV crossarm as the network was unable to be de-energised.  Energex instructed the builder to engage an Energex accredited Authorised Person to ensure compliance with Queensland Electrical Safety Regulations 2013.

Our Authorised Person performed a site specific risk assessment with the personnel conducting the work to ensure the protection of workers, public, plant and equipment. The work was re-evaluated as low risk due to Energex previous activities.

Our Authorised Person monitored the works for compliance.
